The Most Concentrated and Versatile EFA Formula Available
Ultra EFA is a highly potent, bioactive, fatty acid blend featuring a high-grade marine lipid concentrate and hexane-free borage oil. Marine lipids are rich in the Omega 3 fatty acids EPA and DHA. Borage oil contains the highest amounts of GLA of any seed oil. The antioxidant properties of rosemary and vitamin E effectively prevent lipid peroxidation of the delicate fatty acids.
EPA and DHA have been found to help support an animal’s normal inflammatory response, as well as induce apoptosis in neoplastic cells and enhance the effectiveness of chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Veterinary studies have found a number of evidence-based applications for fish oils when given in high enough doses for at least 3 months. Daily supplementation with fish oil is recommended as a part of any pet or human wellness program by the Holistic Cancer Vet.

Support for patients with cancer has been recommended at 30 mg/kg (13.6 mg/pound) of body weight daily of the DHA in the formula.
This is the same as 1 teaspoon of this formula for each 26.4 pounds of body weight daily.
Shake the bottle well before storing in the refrigerator to blend its ingredients, and shake well each time before administration. Or, if product thickens in the refrigerator, keep in a cool dark cabinet. Always gradually introduce fats and oils into an animal’s diet to avoid any possible reaction to the increased administered fats. Start with 25% of the recommended dosage and over 5-10 days gradually increase to the full recommended dosage.
If your pet’s stools soften or it loses its appetite or starts to vomit, discontinue administration, wait three days and then start back at a lower dosage. Please let Holistic Cancer Vet know if your pet is having a reaction to the oils in this formula. Pets with a history of pancreatitis should avoid this dietary supplement.
