NutriGest Powder for Dogs and Cats is recommended for maintaining healthy bowel function through the use of herbal and nutraceutical supplements.

NutriGest Powder contains 500 million active probiotic cultures per ½ teaspoon of powder. It is a blend of the six most biactive strains of probiotic bacteria. Ginger root extract which is known to have a particularly positive effect on digestive function, is an anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and has antimicrobial  properties is contained in the formula as well. DGL licorice root is used to reduce inflammation and ulcers of the mucosal surfaces of the stomach and the large and small intestines. Oregon grape root contains berberine HCL, an anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial alkaloid which occurs naturally in the root of this plant. Oregon grape root aids in the  removal of pathogens and can help to normalize beneficial bacteria. The South American herbal extract, Cat’s Claw which provides anti-inflammatory alkaloids that can promote healthy inflammatory response in the bowel is also contained in NutriGest Powder.

Although the herbs contained in the product are both strong smelling and tasting, however, most pets take the product without issue.  

For best results, start with a small amount of NutriGest Powder, increasing the amount over a few days to reach the recommended dosage given twice daily with meals.

For cats and dogs with chronic GI problems causing less than healthy stools, this product can be used with RXBiotic for a higher infusion of probiotic bacteria.
